Panel Discussion: The Future of Power for Manufacturers
Date & Time
Tuesday, April 9, 2019, 2:45 PM - 3:20 PM
Description
No sector of our economy is impacted more by the cost, reliability and sustainability of electricity than manufacturing – meaning that manufacturers who take the lead in adopting, and adapting to, the rapid change in the power options available to them can establish meaningful advantage over their competitors.

All of the participants in the Future of Power for Manufacturers Panel are leaders in proactively identifying and implementing sustainable power opportunities:

Moderator: Sean Drygas (Executive Vice President, Bullfrog Power Sustainability Solutions)
Panelists:
  • Brent Trenga: Building Technology Director, Kingspan Insulated Panels
  • Tim Faveri: VP, Sustainability & Shared Value, Maple Leaf Foods Inc. Maple Leaf Foods has established a progressive plan to transform animal and processing waste to generate renewable energy to potentially power their facilities and operations.
  • Teresa Schoonings: Government Relations and Sustainability, Grupo Bimbo Canada. The world’s largest bakery company, Grupo Bimbo was a pioneer in Power Purchase Agreements, signing on for wind to supply nearly all of the power for its 65 Mexican plants and offices in 2010. It has since done the same in its U.S. operations and joined RE100, committing to 100% renewable energy.

Join the discussion on how manufacturers are navigating the ever-changing power grid in their day-to-day operations and long-term plans.
