Jason is an authority on entrepreneurship, finance and corporate growth in the renewable and power sectors. He is a co-founder and co-CEO of Spark Power Corp., a company he launched along with his partners, Andrew and Eric in 2009. Jason, Andrew and Eric were recipients of the Canadian Business Excellence Award in 2016. Jason was also a finalist for the 2017 Entrepreneur Of The Year™ award in the “Power & Utilities & Environment” category for the Ontario Region with co-CEO Andrew Clark. Personally, and through Spark, Jason is an advocate for Corporate Social Responsibility and supports dozens of community and charitable organizations such as Unity for Autism, where he is the President on the Board, and Prostate Cancer Canada (PCC), where Spark hosts the annual Spark Power Play Challenge in support of PCC. Prior to Spark, Jason spent 15 years as a private Industry investment and merchant banker, founding and building Spara Capital Partners into one of the leading boutique firms in Canada. Jason is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from The Goodman School of Business (Brock University), where as an alumnus, he still supports a multitude of initiatives for the University including as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board.
